ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the term analipsology is based on the Greek word análipsi meaning “ascension” adjoined to the suffix -ology denoting “a branch of knowledge”, meaning altogether in the context of Astronism “study of the ascension to the astronomical world” which in turn denotes the Astronist endeavour of transcension.
